Trip Overview

Almost tailor made for those who detests crowded trails, Langtang Valley Trek is the third most popular region for trekking after Annapurna and Everest. Surrounded by peaks and glaciers and inhibited by Tamangs, this wonderful valley lies north of Helumbu and Gosainkunda above an altitude of 3,000m.

This trek moves through fairly unpopulated areas that offer great views of glaciers and mountains. Unique villages in between makes the trek even more interesting.

This is a wonderful short trek in its own right, but for those who want more time in the mountains, the itinerary can be stretched out further with a variety of loop extensions which provide greater opportunity to explore the region.

When going to Langtang Valley trek you can experience  a great variety of climate zones, from subtropics to alpine.

Earthquake update:

Though Langtang Mountain Valley area was affected by the 25 April and May 12 earthquakes we are optimistic that the route will reopen for the upcoming autumn trek.
