This trip offers a unique mix of culture and adventure by combining a tour of the major heritage sites in the Kathmandu Valley with an amazing wildlife experience and exciting river rafting adventure.

The trip begins with a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley’s most notable sites before leaving the cities and towns to experience Nepal’s wild side with a thrilling white-water rafting adventure along the Trishuli River for two days. After testing your nerve on one of Kathmandu’s major rivers, you will visit Nepal’s flatlands to explore the wildlife in Royal Chitwan National Park via a variety of activities, such as canoeing, bird watching and a walk in the wilderness accompanied by a trained guide.

This is a wonderful trip, designed to show you the cultural and natural diversity within Nepal and at the same time letting you experience some of the natural adventure ‘highs’ that keep thrill-seekers returning to Nepal year after year.

Before You Go

All visitors except the Indian nationals must hold a passport and valid visa in order to enter Nepal. Visas can be obtained at the Nepalese diplomatic missions and consulates abroad and also at entry points in Nepal. In order to obtain a visa at the airport or any of the land entry points, you are required to complete a visa form and provide a recent passport photograph and payment in cash.

Gratis visa for 30 days available only for tourists of SAARC countries
Multiple entry 15 days – US$ 25 or equivalent convertible currency
Multiple entry 30 days – US$ 40 or equivalent convertible currency
Multiple entry 90 days – US$ 100 or equivalent convertible currency
Tourist Visa Extension
If you wish to extend your visa, you can do this at the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu
The visa extension fee for 15 days or less is USD 30 or equivalent convertible currency
The visa extension fee for more than 15 days is USD 2 per day
Tourist visas can be extended for a maximum period of 150 days in a single visa year (January to December)
