Trip Overview

Rising at the elevation of 8013m, Mt. Shishapangma is the highest peak in the Langtang Himal and is the only 8000m peak located Tibet.The Nepalese name of the Shishapangma peak is Gosaitan meaning “The Holy Place”. The Tibetan name is Xixapangma and it means literally “The Mountain overlooking the grassy plains”. The first ascent is credited to Hsu Ching and his ten-man Chinese climbing team in 1964 and it was finally opened to foreigners in 1980. 

Mount Shishapangma is the lowest of 8000m peaks and it can be climbed along both south and north faces.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu Airport & transfer tohotel (1350m)
Days 02 & 03 Rest and prepare day for assignment & briefing.
Day 04 Drive from Kathmandu to Kodari Border(720m) & drive to Naylam(3700m)
Day 05 Rest Day in Naylam for Acclimatization
Day 06 Drive to Chinese base camp (4,800m)
Days 07 & 08 Rest Day at Chinese Base Camp for acclimatization
Day 09 Trek  to middle Camp (5220m)
Day 10 Trek  to Advanced Base Camp of Shisapangma(5,400m)
Days 11-40 Climbing period
Day 41 Preparation to return (Clean Base Camp) and trek to Middlecamp (5200m) and then  drive to Naylam(3700m)
Day 42 Drive from Naylam to Zhanmu to Kodari Borderthen drive to Kathmandu
Day 43 Free day in Kathmandu
Day 44 Final departure

Cost Included

  • All arrival and departure transfer services to and from Airport both Domestic and International with other necessary surface transport strictly as per itinerary.
  • B&B accommodation in Kathmandu at a 3 star hotel on a twin-share basis
